the name suggests, the Rajasthan Forts and Palaces Tour package will take you
to some of the magnificent forts and palaces of Rajasthan. Visit the most famous
forts and palaces in Rajasthan with Holiday Tour India and discover a whole
new world as you meander down the centouries. The Forts and Palaces of Rajasthan
are a mute testimony to the rich and glorious past of this wonderful land.
Day 1: Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi, the capital of India, you will be received by our
representatives at the airport/ railway station and transferred to a hotel
in Delhi. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast in the morning enjoy a daylong sightseeing city tour of Delhi.
Visit the famous historical monuments such as Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Red
Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb to name a few.
In the evening enjoy shopping at famous markets of Delhi such as Connaught
place, Janpath or South Extension. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 3: Jaipur
After breakfast, we drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan. On arrival
check in to a hotel. After lunch at the hotel, enjoy an afternoon sightseeing
of Jaipur city. Visit the famous City Palace, Hawa Mahal (the palace of wind),
Jantar Mantar (an observatory built by astronomer king Maharaja Jai Singh) and
the modern Birla Planetarium, which provides a celestial view of star clusters.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day
4: Jaipur
In the morning visit the magnificent Amber Fort, the greatest attraction at
Jaipur. The famous fort is situated 7 miles up on a hilltop. The most convenient
way to reach the fort is by riding an elephant. A ride to the fort on the
back of an elaborately painted elephant is a special tourist attraction, which
would surely be a unique experience for you. Other major attraction at the
fort is its gigantic and unimaginably huge cannon called Jaiban, that is forty
feet in length and immensely heavy needing a caravan of elephants to move
it from one place of the fort to the other. Evening at leisure. You can shop
for exquisite handicrafts items, jewelry, clothes and other attractive items
at Jaipur. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 5: Jodhpur
After breakfast, we drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check in to a hotel and relax.
Later in the day visit the museum of Umaid Bhawan Palace. Overnight stay at
Jodhpur.
Day 6: Jodhpur
In the morning visit the nearby typical Rajasthani Bishnoi villages in a jeep
and get a first hand experience of their rich cultoure and traditions. Retourn
back to your hotel to have your lunch. Thereafter, enjoy an afternoon city
sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Visit the famous Mehrangarh Fort. Inside the
Fort you can see a number of palaces showcasing a variety of miniatoure paintings
& cradle room. Later visit the famous Jaswant Thada memorial. Overnight
stay at Jodhpur.
Day
7: Bikaner
After breakfast in the morning we proceed to Bikaner by surface. Bikaner is
popularly known as the ' Camel Country'. Check in at a hotel on arrival. Evening
at leisure. Stay overnight at Bikaner.
Day 8: Bikaner
After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Bikaner. Visit
the famous Junagarh Fort, Lal Garh Palace, Ganga Singh Museum and magnificent
Havelis in Bikaner. In the afternoon visit the 'camel breeding farm', Asia's
biggest camel breeding farm and Karni Mata Temple. Overnight stay at Bikaner.
Day 9: Chittorgarh
After breakfast in the morning, we drive to Chittorgarh. The pride and glory
of Rajasthan, Chittorgarh is known as the city of bravery and romance. Many
legends and tales associated with heroism and sacrifices of the passionate
men and women of Chittorgarh make it a wonderful place to visit. Check in
to a hotel in Chittorgarh on arrival. Rest of the day at leisure. Explore
the nearby area in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day
10: Chittorgarh
After breakfast enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Chittorgarh. Visit the
magnificent 7th centoury Chittorgarh Fort. On way to the fort you can see two
chhatris or memorials of Jaimal and Kalla marking the spots where they fell
while defending the fort during the siege of 1568. Other attractions inside
the fort include Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) and the Kirti Stambh (Tower
of Fame). In the afternoon visit the ruins of Rana Kumbha's Palace, Padmini's
Palace, Kalika Mata Temple, Government Museum and more.
Day 11: Delhi
In the morning, we drive back to Delhi. On arrival check in to a hotel at
Delhi. If time permits, explore the metropolis and do a last minute shopping.
Later you would be transferred to airport / railway station for your onward
journey or way back home.
