About
The Tour : A 15 Days/ 14 Nights classical jeep safari ex Chandigarh over
one of the highest motor able roads in the World and involves crossing over
high mountain passes providing spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rugged
terrain and old monasteries. This safari also takes you to the largest inland
lake of the Indian Sub Continent, Tsomoriri Lake.

Destination Covered : Chandigarh-Manali-Keylong-Jispa-Brandy Nala-Tsokhar-Tsomoriri-Leh-Delhi
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi - Upon arrival transfer to hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi - Chandigarh - By Train - Transfer by Shatabdi express
to Chandigarh. Upon arrival in Chandigarh transfer to hotel. Rest of the day
to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Chandigarh/ Manali (300 kms)
Meet on arrival and travel onwards by surface to Manali. On arrival in Manali,
check in at Hotel Banon Resorts. Overnight at hotel.

04: Manali
Morning half day tour visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple and Vashisht.
Afternoon & evening free to explore Manali market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Manali
Morning half day tour visiting Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery and some other
old temples in Naggar village. Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Manali/ Jispa (138 kms)
Start the tour from Manali to Jispa crossing over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and
enroute visiting several villages of Lahaul valley like Khoksar, Sissu, Gondhla,
Keylong, Gemur etc. On arrival in Jispa set up camp on the banks of river
Bhaga. Overnight in tents.
Day 07: Jispa/ Brandy Nala (105 kms)
Travel by surface crossing Darcha, the starting point of Zanskar Valley trek.
Climb over to cross Baralacha Pass (4830 m), cross the Sarchu plains. On arrival
in Jispa set up camp on the banks of river Bhaga. Overnight in tents.
Day 08: Brandy Nala/ Tsokhar (115 kms)
After Brandy Nala you climb the Gata loops and crossover Nakil La (4740 m)
and later Lachung La (5019 m) to reach Pang. From Pang arrive at More plains
which is a huge stretch of 50 kms. Cross More Plains and then taking a diversion
enter Rupshu Valley whose average height is 4200 m. Continue further a little
ahead to Tsokhar village and set up camp on banks of Tsokhar village. Overnight
in tents.
Day
09: Tsokhar/ Tsomoriri Lake (105 kms)
Continue your journey through Rupshu valley enroute visiting villages like
Sumdo etc and salt lakes Tsokhar, Thatsang Karu and also crossing over two
mountain passes to reach the beautiful Lake Tsomoriri. Tsomoriri is the largest
lake of Indian Sub Continent and is famous for black necked cranes. Rupshu
valley would also provide you a chance to view one of the remotest tribes
of Himalayas, grazing there flock of sheep & yaks in the valley. Rest
of day free to explore Karzok village, gompa and nearby area. Overnight in
tents.
Day 10: Tsomoriri Lake/ Leh (220 kms)
Travel by surface from Tsomoriri to Leh enroute visiting Puga. Now you are in
the region which is drained by river Indus. On arrival check in at Hotel Lotus.
Day 11: Leh
Morning free. Afternoon half day tour of Leh visiting Spituk, Phyang Monastery,
Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Leh
Full day excursion to Ladakh famous monasteries, it is interesting to visit
early in the morning to enjoy the praying Cermony at Thiksey monastery. Continue
drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the most famous monastery of the
Ladakh region. On the way back visit to Shey Palace. Overnight at hotel.
Day
13: Leh
Day excursion to Khardongla pass, which is the highest motorable pass in
the world 5600 m and has been recorded in the Guniees Book of World Records.
At the top enjoy the natoure beauty of snow capped mountains. In the late afternoon
retourn back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Leh
Day free for independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15: Leh/ Delhi
Intime transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination. End of
